Shreya Ghoshal

Following sell out shows in 2013 and 2014, Shreya Ghoshal will be returning to De Montfort Hall on Friday 22 May 2015.

TLC Events in association with Rock On Music is proud to present one of the most gifted and successful singers in the history of Indian cinema, the new Nightingale of India, Shreya Ghoshal.

She is the small-town girl who struck all the right notes in the city of dreams. Brought up in a quaint little town called Rawatbhata in Rajasthan where her scientist father was posted, Shreya Ghoshal started learning music at the tender age of four.

Her real break came when she won a TV reality show where she impressed director Sanjay Leela Bhansali with her vocal prowess. She became the voice of the protagonist Paro played by Aishwarya Rai and went on to win a National Award for Devdas.

Shreya Ghoshal is one of the most prolific singers today, music writers have hailed her as the Queen Bee of Playback as well as the bridge between Lata Mangeshkar and the future generation. The original Nightingale Lata Mangeshkar has stated herself that she finds Shreya Ghoshal’s voice closest to her own.

She recently showcased her musical variations by making the masses groove to Nagada Sang Dhol and then ensured that they fell in love with the romantically intense Manwa Laage. With umpteen popular trophies and National Awards in her kitty, this pitch-perfect songstress seems unstoppable at the moment!

Expect Shreya Ghoshal to take you on a musical journey where she recreates her own hits and classics from the greats of yesteryear.

Be ready for a beautiful evening of lots
of beautiful music. An unforgettable
evening for both you and me
